Total content and concentration are separate properties, and confusing them is the most common source of error.
Second, the spread is large. The weakest cell is a 5 mg vial in 3 mL at 1.67 mg/mL. The strongest is a 30 mg vial in 1 mL at 30 mg/mL. Both look like clear liquid. That is why the water volume has to be recorded and kept with the vial.
Third, round numbers cluster at particular pairings. A 10 mg vial in 1 mL, a 20 mg vial in 2 mL and a 30 mg vial in 3 mL all give 10 mg/mL. Whole-number concentrations are easier to check by eye than values like 1.67 or 3.33 mg/mL.
