Vial cost calculator

Cost per milligram is the number on the label. Cost per dose is the number you actually pay, and they are only the same when the dose divides evenly into the vial. This calculator reports both, plus what the leftover is worth.

Which vial size is cheapest for this dose

Ranked by what a dose costs, not by price per milligram. A vial that divides evenly can beat a cheaper one that does not.

Vial Price Doses Per dose Stranded

How this is calculated

Doses per vial is the vial's milligrams divided by the dose, rounded down. Whatever is left cannot make up a full dose, so it is written off rather than counted. Cost per dose is therefore the vial price divided by whole doses, and the effective rate per milligram is the price divided by the milligrams you can actually draw.

Monthly figures use 52.1775 weeks per year divided by twelve, not four weeks, which would understate the annual total by about eight percent.
